Sodium Ascorbate is a non-acidic form of Vitamin C, a major antioxidant, and one of the most important Vitamins required by the human body on a regular and ongoing basis. Sodium Ascorbate is a buffered form of Vitamin C that consists of 88% Ascorbic Acid bound to 12% Sodium.
Vitamin C is a very powerful antioxidant that protects other antioxidants such as vitamin E Humans are unable to store Vitamin ; it is a water-soluble vitamin with an active life of only 3 – 4 hours once ingested.
Increased need of Vitamin C occurs after stress, illness, smoking, prolonged sickness, medications, and exposure to pollution, allergies, healing wounds, and burns and after severe bruising.
